Through my imagination, inspiration, emotions, inquiries, and frictions, I express "internal landscapes" and "answers," gently embedding a touch of small magic within them. These "Story Fragments" circulate comfortably between you and the world. Whether you discover an answer, an inquiry, or magic within them is entirely up to you.

Concept

Intersection and Fluctuations

​

交差点とそこにある揺らぎ

​

My expression is an intersection. Within it lies "my own universe"—a world packed with my human emotions, frictions, imagination, intuition, and cherished inner landscapes. At the same time, it holds the expression of a "universe embracing the void," emerging naturally through the grand cosmic flow. It is a state not of "me creating," but rather of "the great flow of the universe borrowing my body to create on its own." What connects and intersects these multiple worlds—this "dense ego" and this "pure existence stripped of self"—is fluctuation, and the Ma (the interval) born between the artwork and the viewer.

私の表現は、ひとつの交差点です。そこには、人間としての私の感情や摩擦、想像力、直感、愛おしい心象風景が詰まった「私の宇宙」があります。同時にそこには、ただ大いなる流れのままに現れた「虚空を抱く宇宙」の表現があります。

「私が創っている」のではなく、「宇宙の大きな流れが、私の身体を借りて勝手に創り出している」という状態。

この「濃密な自我」と「自我の抜けた純粋な存在」という、いくつもの世界を繋ぎ、交差させるもの――それこそが「揺らぎ」であり、受け手との間に生まれる「間（マ）」です。

Rather than uniformity, I cherish the "fluctuations" that arise in each moment. The touch of clay shaped by hands, the texture of a painting, an unexpected finish from the kiln. Me, straying off the path; me, taking detours. I believe that within these unpredictable, imperfect fluctuations, the breath of life inhabits the work, and the subtle magic that gently touches the world is born.

私は、均一なものよりも、その時々に生まれる「揺らぎ」を大切にしています。手でつくる土の手触り、絵の表情、思いがけない焼き上がり。横道に逸れ、寄り道をしてしまう私。その計算できない不完全な揺らぎの中にこそ、作品に生命の気配が宿り、世界にそっと働きかける魔法が生まれると信じているからです。

At first glance, many of my works may appear dense and tightly packed with expression. Yet, it is beneath the very depths of that expression that I leave behind an invisible "spiritual margin." The moment you confront the work, an invisible Ma—a mutual relationship, a shared rhythm of breath—is born between you and the piece.

一見すると密度の高い、表現の詰まった作品が多いかもしれません。しかし、その表現の奥底にこそ、私は目に見えない「精神的余白」を遺しています。あなたが作品と対峙した瞬間、そこに目に見えない「間（マ）」

――お互いの関係性、呼吸のリズム――が生まれるのです。

Perspective and Thresholds

(The Inversion of Two Worlds)

視座と隙間（二つの世界の反転）

​

The invisible "internal world (universe and spirit)" and the "external world (matter)" where we live with a physical body. Between these two worlds, the resolution of our perspective vividly inverts. When living from the perspective of the physical self, the realm of the universe appears as a "vast, overarching question—something not fully understood." However, when standing from the soul's perspective beyond the physical body, though difficult to put into words, it becomes intuitively "self-evident—something already known." This is because we are connected to everything. 

 

目に見えない「内的世界（宇宙・精神）」と、肉体を持って生きる「外的世界（物質）」。この二つの世界では、視座の解像度が鮮やかに反転します。肉体のある視点で生きていると、宇宙の領域は「漠然とした大きな問い（よく分からないもの）」に見えます。しかし、肉体を越えた魂の視点に立つと、それは感覚的に「自明のこと（分かっていること）」になります。全てと繋がっているからです。

This is precisely why I create through two distinct approaches:

だからこそ、私は二つのアプローチで作品を創ります。

1. Works to hold hands with others through words (Communication) By introducing accessible motifs, these narrow the thresholds and focus the lens. An expression of "clarity" through close proximity. A "lens" to look into the infinitely vast universe hidden in the depths. 1. 言葉として、人と手を繋ぐための作品（コミュニケーション）：入りやすいモチーフを置き、隙間を狭め、焦点を絞る。距離の近さによる「分かりやすさ」の表現。奥にある無限の宇宙を覗き込むための『レンズ』。

2. Works that place raw soulful sensation to open human consciousness toward the universe (Inquiry) Widening the thresholds, maintaining a distance. An expression that leaves behind an infinite spiritual margin within a vast, abstract "obscurity." 　2. 魂の感覚をそのまま置き、人の意識を宇宙へと開く作品（問い）：隙間を広く取り、距離を置く。漠然とした「分かりにくさ」の中に、無限の精神的余白を残す表現。

 

The circulation of Yin and Yang. Blending them to varying degrees, or simply existing as a fluctuation by swaying between the two.

陰陽の循環。どれをどのくらいで調合するか。あるいは、その二つの間をゆらゆらと揺れることで、揺らぎとして、ただそこに在る。

What may look like "fantasy" to the world is, to me, a landscape of a reality that truly exists in the universe. It is "another scenery of reality," scooped directly from the void through inspiration by diving deep into the physical body (the ego).

 

世間からは「ファンタジー」に見えるかもしれません。しかしそれは私にとって、肉体の奥深くへ潜り、インスピレーションを通じて虚空から実際にすくい上げてきた「もうひとつの現実の景色」なのです。

Connecting lines from your own perspective to the anchor point seen through my filter as Miki Nishi, living in this world. I believe that because there is an anchor point, it becomes nourishment for the next stage of growth. Inquiries can be born from anywhere.

 

西美紀というこの世界に生きる私のフィルターを通した「点（個性）」から見える着地点を、あなたという視点で「線」へ繋いでいく。その着地点があるからこそ、次なる成長の糧になります。問いは何処からでも生まれます。

The Three Stages of My Art

I would be delighted if my art could serve as a catalyst, a helping hand within this "system of circulation"—resonating with your existence, rewriting reality, and eventually returning to the grand source.

 

私のアートは、あなたという存在と響き合い、現実を書き換え、やがて大いなる源流へと還るための「循環のシステム」です。そのひとつのキッカケ、お手伝いになれば嬉しいです。

1. Resonance & Co-creation（響応 / 共創）

​

The "anchor points"—the answers and magical items I have created—and the Ma (the invisible presence and breath) rising between the work and you, slip softly into the crevices of your heart, awakening your own inner story. It is the moment when I, the artwork, you, and the world resonate on an invisible dimension to co-create a new narrative.

 

私の創り出した「答えであり、魔法のアイテムである点（作品）」と、あなたとの間に立ち上る「間（見えない気配と呼吸）」が、あなたの心の隙間に滑り込み、あなた自身の内なる物語を呼び覚まします。私、作品、あなた、そして世界が見えない次元で響き合い、新しい物語を共に創り出す瞬間です。

2. Integration & Transformation（実装 / 変容）

​

Questions that are too immense can sometimes plunge people into the bottomless swamp of nihilism or stagnation. While that too is a valuable experience, I want to create my art as hope, dreams, and humble signposts. I wish to weave the vital life force—the desire to grow and expand—into the invisible spaces of each piece. It is a practical magic meant to turn vast, overarching questions into fuel for your reality's "intentions," anchoring them into daily practice. When the artwork is "integrated" into your everyday life, consciousness and reality begin their comfortable transformation.

 

巨大すぎる問いは、時に人を虚無や停滞へと突き落とします。それも一つの経験ですが、私のアートは、希望と夢、ささやかな道しるべとして創りたい。成長し拡大していきたいという生命力を、作品の目に見えない所に置いておきたいのです。漠然とした大きな問いを、あなたの現実の「志」の燃料に変え、日々の実践へと着地させるための実用的な魔法。作品が日常に「実装」されたとき、意識と現実は心地よく変容を始めます。

3. Return & Beyond Words（回帰 / 脱・言語）

​

Beyond transformation lies a phase where one stops overthinking with words and simply becomes the comfortable flow itself. Transcending verbal interpretation entirely, you merely immerse yourself in the comfort of the space. In that moment, you gently detach from my work and "return" to the cosmic source, the true home of the soul.

変容の果てに、あれこれと言葉で思考することをやめ、ただそこにある心地よい流れ（Flow）そのものになるフェーズです。言葉による解釈を完全に超え、ただ空間の心地よさに浸る。そのときあなたは、私の作品から離れ、魂の故郷である宇宙の源流へと「回帰」しています。

A piece of a beautiful landscape from somewhere in the universe. 

宇宙のどこかにある、美しい景色のひとかけら。

Conversing with the ever-changing medium of clay. Embedding words. And creating paintings and ceramic arts spun from a state akin to meditation. These are the "Story Fragments" born across the boundaries of materials, flowing through the filter of who I am. 

 

陶土という変幻自在の物質と会話すること。言葉を宿すこと。そして瞑想に近い感覚で紡がれる絵画や陶芸。素材の境界を越え、私というフィルターを通じて生まれる「物語の断片」たち。

A "focused question," like a light illuminating your steps, and a "vast, overarching question," like the North Star guiding your life's direction. What you discover within these works is entirely up to you, the traveler. Please, surrender yourself to the flow of circulation in this world. 

足元を照らすライトのような「焦点の絞られた問い」と、人生の進むべき方向を照らす北極星のような「漠然とした大きな問い」。作品の中に何を見出すかは、旅人であるあなた次第です。どうぞ、この世界の循環の流れに、身を委ねてみてください。
